To all stakeholders from governments, business sector, civil society, technical community, academia, international and regional organizations, policy and decision makers and experts in the area of Internet Governance from within and outside the Arab region

OGERO Telecom, on behalf of the Umbrella Organizations of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (Arab IGF), is pleased to invite you to participate in the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Arab IGF (AIGF-IV) that will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel in Beirut, during 17-18 December 2015. This meeting will be hosted by OGERO Telecom with the partnership of the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications and under the patronage of H.E. the Lebanese Minister of Telecommunications Mr. Boutros Harb.

The AIGF-IV event will be preceded by a capacity-building day on Internet Governance, on 16 December 2015, that aims to introduce participants to the various aspects of Internet Governance and its sub-themes.

All Arab IGF activities are organized under the joint umbrella of the League of Arab States (LAS) and ESCWA; in cooperation with the Secretariat, hosted by the Egyptian National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA), and in consultation with the Arab Multistakeholder Advisory Group (AMAG). 

We look forward to your participation in the AIGF-IV event, which will contribute to enriching the meeting discussions and shaping a promising future of the Internet at both regional and global levels.

Slogan and main themes:  The AIGF-IV meeting will be held under the theme "Internet Economy for Sustainable Development" and includes a number of plenary sessions and thematic workshops that will address the following sub-themes:

  1. International Internet-related Public Policy
  2. Cybersecurity and Trust
  3. Access and Infrastructure
  4. Social and Human Dimensions of the Internet

The AIGF-IV event will be preceded by a capacity building day on Internet governance, on 16 December 2015.

For participation in the AIGF-IV pre-registration is required and available through the Registration on www.igfarab2015.org 
 
All participants are invited to complete their registrations before 7 December 2015, and indicate in the last section of the Form whether they wish to participate in the pre-event on 16 December, and whether they intend to use the remote participation services that will be provided during the event.
